It's easier to deny ("fake news") when it's happening to others. The worse it gets the more likely it will happen to people you know, family members, and friends.

For now, we can still joke about it as in the main it's not hit home yet.

" Crisis ‘triage’ protocol is a brave attempt to ensure what happened in Italy is not repeated in Britain "

Doctors need an ethical system for rationing critical care if hospitals are overwhelmed. Currently there is no national guidance

The news that doctors are drawing up their own rationing – or “triage” – protocols for possible use in the event that the NHS becomes overwhelmed is frightening, but welcome.

There could be only one thing worse than NHS critical care capacity being overrun in the coming weeks and that is if it happens in a chaotic fashion.

The thousands of doctors and nurses fighting to keep the nation’s critical care units afloat must have the protocols necessary to allocate finite resources fairly and consistently should they find themselves unable to treat everyone."

Hang the fook on - BRAVE would have been for Honest Boris to start lockdown in early Oct and keep it till Feb 2021.
