The Manchester Guardian has always been the most unlikable paper in the UK. Jews and Catholics, no other paper decided to go after both.

The Sun isn't exactly flavour of the month in Liverpool either

It (as in DfE) had no choice as the Mayor of London was saying it on Twatter and broadcasters were quoting him.

The guardian did not hire Catholics and Jews.

then..

"After the move was revealed by the Guardian"

I suspect the real problem is him being from Yorkshire (and his civil servants who apparently have to believe in the Tory government) don't actually know what boroughs are in London, and understand how hospitals serve populations across borough and county boundaries.

They are as thick as mince.

The U-turn comes after the government initially named 50 education authorities in the south of England, including many of those in and around London, where primary schools would be closed to most pupils for the first two weeks of term.

But the list omitted several London areas where Covid-19 transmission rates remain high including the borough of Haringey, whose leaders said they was prepared to defy the government and support any schools that decided to close to protect staff and pupils.
