But south and east of a line roughly from Norfolk to Hampshire, Britain is increasingly like a desert. It's one of the driest areas of Europe, and rainfall is declining.

Scientists plan mission to biggest iceberg as it drifts towards island | Sea ice | The Guardian

So it's a bad thing a chuck of ice the size of Luxembourg broke off BUT ice breaking off glaciers does happen naturally too (as in, it's not always driven by man-made climate change). Surely by interfering in where it lands and drops its fresh water there could be further, unknown repercussions?
