    Sterling would have gone anyway. The Euro was always going to be mandatory, I think it's only the Danes who have an opt-out currently, but we all now these are discretionary, and theirs will be gone soon. The UK leaving will speed up the process.

    Labour is abstaining as it allows them to criticise the legislation. If they vote for they can't criticise it - Blair did that with the Tories. If they vote against then we are back to where we were before March 23 2020 e.g. no lockdown measures at all.
