It's a still from a comedy film Ask a Policeman (1939) starring Will Hay and his two sidekicks Graham Moffatt and Moore Marriott, who were with him in several films.Originally posted by Paddy View Post
LOL, this looks similar to clip from a school movie I made in the early 60s, I thought the showing would be just a one-off school treat but it was shown for the next 30 years. The original is now kept in the National Film Archives.
It's about a sleepy village police station threatened with redundancy, due to the absence of crime in the area for many years. So the coppers decide to set up speed traps to gain some convictions. Needless to say, it all goes horribly wrong and then from bad to worse when the chief constable driving past is accidently pole-axed with that 30 MPH sign one of them is stuggling with in the picture! But in the end they redeem themselves by finding a real crime ..Last edited by OwlHoot; 29 November 2020, 11:14.

Yes, but neither of those lenses would be aiming at the rightmost side of the road (as shown on photo evidence Exhibit 1)Originally posted by Paddy View PostCamera lenses are normally on both sides of the phone.

If you set up your camera-phone on a mount and use a voice command to take the photo it would be done legally.Originally posted by AtW View PostVery nice admission - that’s 6 points and some fine, please turn yourself in to the nearest Police Station and tell them I sent you

Least she's alive.
What is it with policemen in the SW? Isn't there enough crime for them to deal with?
