So 70% is what's normally expected from normal flu vaccines, which is why mRNA results were surprisingly better and the real funny part is that Russian "vaccine" was claimed to be 92% effective after Pfizer released data of 90%+, the fun part being is that Russian "vaccine" is also based on adenovirus (only human, rather than garden monkey variety), so it seems more likely that its efficiency is likely to be in 70% region, which kind of re-inforces the obvious - Russian Govt are pathological liars, just like Trump and Boris.

Looks like the Oxford / AstraZeneca will be certified on Monday after all the trials and tribualtions it has been through however the latest statement by their chief executive still doesn't fill me with confidence:

“We think we’ve figured out the winning formula to maximise the protection offered”

I would rather hear 'we know' than 'we think'

However, Reuters have reported that from documents published in The Lancet journal show that Oxford researchers had made an error in their testing.

IRBM/Advent told the news agency that the measuring mishap was “the result of a change in the testing method.”

The Lancet documents showed that a common emulsifier had been used in the mixing of the vaccine which meant it interfered with the ultraviolet-light meter used by the institution to test its strength.

As a result, the participants in the trial received a much lower dose of the vaccine when Oxford scientists believed they were administering full doses.

The half doses when followed up with another full dose booster, were 90 per cent effective and much higher than the 62 per cent of the two full doses, despite not being tested on anyone over-55."
