Thats the maximum you are allowed to contribute now after the A day changes last year. Just because you can doesnt mean you have to. Bit like nuclear weapons really.Originally posted by ratewhoreI just used the IR35calc pension calculator and it tells me on my (last ) rate that I can contribute £215,000 per year.
Is it broke? That's well above my turnover for the year...

Not sure yet. I'll find out soon when I have a chat with "permie position offering man". I was told that they could comfortably beat my contractor rate, but in pure money terms, I can't see it really.Originally posted by theemeestrooAre such huge sums actually available, assuming you don't take some sort of management position and don't work in London?
I'm not widely skilled; I just have good knowledge of a particular piece of software & not too many others in the market place have the same.

Which sector do you work in?Originally posted by MarillionFanJust been offered to go permie on my present contract. I have waded in with a 100k salary expectation, car and share options.
They are considering it and will let me know shortly.
I think thats daft. I would put my house on them offering you sweeet F.A

Did a few sums & I reckon I'd also need an offer of around £100k to make it worthwhile to go permie.
I'm quite happy with the type of work that's on offer for the permie role (similar to contract now), so it really comes down to the money.
