Since 2005 all TA mobilisations have been voluntary so called "intelligent mobilisation"

You need to have it transferred within a year! After that back to square one.

There's a new unit forming which will work in the same manner as LIAG but it is not a security unit. It's for PM's and the like. Can't remember what it's called but it may be on the Army Rumour Service forum...

No parades on tuesday night, no 2 week camp. More skills on the CV..

    I'll find the name.

Not to good when they send you to Iraq though!

DaveP: As Mal stated it is a bad situation, the only people that can change this are the government. I was cleared, it expired, got turfed out of the gig becuase I didn't have it but the company decided to put me through it anyway as it would be an asset to have people cleared that live in the area.

I now have DV and others, but the problem still exsists. When applying for the jobs if you don't get good feedback from the agent, try informing the DVA, assuming you are happy that you have the skills and experience to do the job.

Who loses out - good contractors, obviously, but the projects do to. It's like McClaren only allowed to pick the England team from Arsenal, Watford and Charlton.

To me this just proves that they don't really care and they are not going to police it because it is too much hassle. If you don't have SC good luck finding somebody willing to sponsor you, 99% of SC jobs are going to be unavailable for you.

I'm also in the group of people who have previously had SC but it has now run out and nobody is willing to give me the time of day for SC contracts.
