I put a deposit down on a Model 3 when they announced the car. I don’t have a build slot yet but not realistically expecting my RHD UK-spec version until mid 2020. I might ask to transfer the deposit to a Model Y though, having seen the launch last week.

Chance it and return it if it's more than you're happy with?If you haven't test driven the car, you can return it for a full refund within 7 days or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Tesla Model 3, anyone?
I'm seriously thinking of getting the Model 3 when it's out in the UK. I would put down a deposit now if I knew how much it's going to cost in the UK. Reports of basic model in US costing $35k but not sure what that will be in the UK.
