The Poor Scotland line is a myth. We could help the poorer English regions more if they were out of the Union, rather than having policy twisted by the myth.

One question for NG - what is your take on the prospect of Scotland asserting its National Identity - current polls shows a significant lead for the SNP at the expense of Labour - and if Scotland does become indepedent; what are the consequences for England - the first thing which comes to my mind would be the fate of the Armed Services - and the possible cancellation of the Trident upgrade.
50% + of Voters in the last poll (can’t remember who did it) stated they would like an independent Scotland, which is a record level.

Scottish nationalism in my experience is nothing more than thinly veiled racism, the old adage of blaming it on the English. There's a fake notion of Celtic identity also.

The fact is that, considering that Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have a lower GDP per capita than England, and require higher social spending, letting them become independent would benefit England. Scotland is pretty much Britain's East Germany: an expensive nuisance.

Scotland will never be as economically, militarily or politically strong as if it opted out of the UK. An independent Scotland would drop dramatically in the EU standings as well. I don’t know if it has any effective maritime claims for the North Sea oil, but I doubt it.

On the flipside it constitutes 1/3 of the UK’s armed forces, has many renewable energy facilities and then as you mentioned there’s the small Trident matter.

Ultimately it's their choice, whether it benefits them or not. Let them have their day in the sun if they want it. However if independence does occur then I would expect all Scots currently living in England to be repatriated to their new found paradise.

On the postive side an SNP victory would mean the end of the road for NL.
Didn’t New Labour win the last election due to Scottish votes? Indeed.

One of our local swimming pools has mixed evening sessions where you have to be naked.

Thornton Heath Leisure Centre insist that men wear shorts which hide the navel and extend below the knee. Women wear a swimming costume that covers their body from the neck down to the ankle. There are separate sessions for men and women.
All I want to know is: where exactly can these fetching outfits be purchased?

Croydon CC is doing the same stuff... when can we expect 'whites only' use of the pools
Not so bad here..there are women's only times. Don't think there was any restrictions on colour. Perhaps it was implied? Perhaps the article is sourced from a BNP leaflet?

Interesting and altough I dont find BNP policies attractive, nevethless in our democracy , imperfect as it may be, the BNP are perfectly entitled to participate in the political process.

I remember living in South Africa and actually seeing such signs. On double decker buses the black people used to have to go upstairs, post offices used to have seperate entrances, in the Orange Free State black people had only 24 hours to pass through it. It was pretty disgusting. One of the aspects that really got to the British community was that you had to have servants otherwise you were thought of as 'not quite the right sort of people' by your neighbours. So we had a miad but in order to have a servant you needed a license so the way the Brits 'rebelled' was too have no license. We got fined a number of times but it cocked a snook at the authorities. One of the best things that ever happened while we were there was the Americans appointing a new ambassador, who just happened to be...black

Although prior to that we lived in Nigeria which, although not as bad, was the reverse where the white people were treated as second class citizens buy much of the populace (maybe not so much treated, rather more disliked.) It got so bad that during the military coup the only place we could be in the house was in the hallway as this had no windows so we couldn't get shot. We had members of the army stationed in the house to protect us before we were evacuated.

A council has been fiercely criticised for holding ethnic-minority only swimming sessions.

Wolverhampton City Council employs special life-guards and instructors for the sessions, which are open to the city's black and Asian residents only.

It claims the weekly periods are for women and children with "religious or cultural issues which would otherwise prevent them from taking part."

But furious pool-users say they amount to racial segregation and claim they are being prevented from using the pool - simply because they may be white.

Wondered how long it would take before the BNP would make a presence on this board.

    The Aliens have landed!
It is evident to the trained observer that Blair and his Cabinet gang are actually aliens masquerading as humans. Although near perfect replicas, they dont get it quite right:- they each have something of the air of a Spitting Image puppet about themselves. Some of the gang members are so obviously alien that even the casual observer cant help noticing how very - plastic - they are. Gordon Brown is the least successful of the gang in trying to pass for human, especially when he is talking:- he has n't got his mouth/lip and speech sounds synchronisation quite right, and he does something very odd indeed with his lips when he talks. Patricia Hewitt, with her strangely manufactured accent, is another such, easily discernable as an alien passing for human.

As aliens bent on taking over the world, Blair and his gang fear and hate nationalism and freedom above all things:- they know that the Human spirit reflects all that is most noble and altruistic via nationalism. So they hate and fear British nationalism in particular, as Britain has long been a beacon for freedom across the world. It is not for nothing that these aliens passing for human should seek to crush British nationalism first and foremost.

From the BNP website- seems people are waking up to the lizards taking over

David Duke grasped the idea of smooth and attractive television presentation and seeming reasonableness many years ago
Duke is a one trick pony (it's the joozzz stupid). Like the Paelo "Conservative" Patrick J. Buchanan he also has an unhealthy, thinly veiled respect for the World War 2 Axis and an equally unhealty, apologetic attitude towards Russia and the SCO. But these type of people and UKIP are the only realistic option when it comes to voting.

Anyway, merry Christmas to you all (apart from leftists - may trials and great tribulations befall you).
