Previously on "Anyone been to Raleigh, North Carolina?"
Once you've developed a taste for Belgian beer in all its weird variety, other countries' beers seem a bit on the tame side.
Not saying they're all good mind you, just, ahem, interesting
True, but I prefer to be able to walk afterwards...

I've been a couple of times as IBM have stuff out there. Didn't get to see much but ate reasonably well as had a hire car so went out and about. Raleigh's Beer Gardens comes to mind along with (I think it was called) Big Ed's, I also recall a trip to a bourbon bar. Hopefully you'll get a non-stop flight and in business class
Mind you, in a couple of weeks I fly Washington for a couple of days, then onto Little Rock in Arkansas for a couple of weeks, then down to Orlando (and possibly Jacksonville) for a few more weeks, up to Ontario for 3 weeks and then back down to Washington. All work but it does mean I need to take around 40 pairs of underpants and socks
Got a training course, not with SAS.
I get the impression it's a bit hicksville - is that right?
Mind you if I can find a decent bevy as opposed to the rancid piss that passes for American beer, it should be bearable.
I see you are working on your winning ways again. Look forward to the headlines "British toilet cleaner found drowned in brewing VAT".
Yes loved it - spent a lot of time around there when I worked for GSK on the merger between GW and SKB. We stayed out in Cary because it was close to work. Stayed at the Courtyard Marriot because there was a small strip mall over the road with a few bars (Macgregors Ale house) and a few places to eat. Think SAS have a big site out that way....is that why you are looking for recommendations?
