Regardless of that he still spent 20 minutes talking to them so you have to wonder about the checks that take place at the FO before you get to talk to the Minister and his own judgement in taking the call if it wasn't previously arranged.

Boris Johnson has been caught out in a prank call by a pair of Russian comedians posing as the Armenian prime minister. The Foreign Secretary is recorded discussing Russia’s involvement in the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and offering tips to the pranksters on how to deal with Vladimir Putin.
