“BYE-EU TAPESTRY The Sun’s Brexit-inspired tapestry shows EU membership was one long stitch-up … As Britain faces another moment of destiny with Brexit freeing us from the continental shackles of the hated EU, we mark another historic move”
And much much more...“To draw your attention to the most unhinged part of this from @TheSun, here's Theresa May standing over the decapitated corpses of our allies”

Looks like you believe it's true tooOriginally posted by vetran View Postyou fell for Project fear and the lines about no crimes at new year so you probably do.
Of course Harold having won against the Vikings and then lost to the entrenched French sort of explains how they won. Do try reading some history.

The last time “they” invaded “us”?Originally posted by vetran View Postthey send us a tapestry of the last time they invaded us, its only polite to reply in kind.
William was Norman, Harold was half-Norman and wasn’t even on the line to the throne (his sister was married to the king), and you’ve got as much chance of being descended from the victors as from the losers.
Pop down to Battle and have a look around, it’s not a massive exhibit but you get to walk on the grounds where the battle took place and it’s quite interesting as far as history goes.

I was thinking we could lend them this.Originally posted by woohoo View PostI'm just putting this out there. But whilst it's over in the UK, could we not make a copy of it and hand the copy back to the French. Perhaps rub a bit of garlic on it.

I was hoping there would be a modern day Brexit tapestry exhibited in Dover. In 1000 years we could let Bayeaux borrow it for a while....
