So you want a Land Rover of some sort for under £10k and also want reliability.
How about spending £10k on a brand new Land Rover of some sort, with a full warranty and no MOT to worry about. Yep, lease one for about £300-£400/month over 2 or 3 years.
so, 11 days after the first post and the OP still hasn't come back with his requirements.
He's going to have trouble making a decision if he doesn't know what he needs.
Been following the thread, and many thanks for the replies. But the snag is it seems my requirements are somewhat conflicting
I want a big kick-ass reliable preferably petrol SUV like a Rangerover, suitable for rural use, but I don't want to pay more than about £10K max
Although I'm happy to buy a used vehicle, possibly with a high mileage, a fair amount of reliability is a must
My existing Rangerover Vogue has been plagued with problems in an electronic board called the ECU or (depending on who I talk to) the Body Control Unit. Rangerover, in their wisdom, placed this low down over a wheel arch, and every time it gets damp it starts playing up. A couple of garages say there's very little if anything that can be done to remedy this. It was just bad design.
