Don't be bloody silly... The only thing the EU subsidises is itself. When they are talking about bar bills they are not far from the truth...
-
The EU negotiation demanding more money for the UK 'divorce settlement' before they'll consider moving talks on to trade is so they can use that money to subsidise Germany car manufacturers post brexit.

Why is pointing out that industry will not accept what the unelected EU council wants, bashing Germany? I think they are spot on. The EU is there to promote trade not gurgle great swathes of cash down a plug hole and act like the school bully...Originally posted by Eirikur View PostSo it's back to Germany bashing again
What the EU wants and its member states are diverged and this is proving it...

So it's back to Germany bashing againOriginally posted by bobspud View PostNo it's what we always knew. The industrial powers within the EU will only take so much political crap before they take the policy makers behind closed doors and spank their arses and make their demands known.
If you do some research into Helmut Khol, he went on record to state that one of the key drivers for the integration was the German Car market was concerned it was loosing market share to Fiat. They are not about to make all their cars more expensive to the largest external market.

Doesn't explain how they ended up with Scooter though. Unless they do actually want him... maybe as a curiosity or something.

What Germany wants...
...Germany usually gets...
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...it-paper-showsGermany is working on proposals for the European Union’s future relations with the U.K. that include calls for a “comprehensive free-trade accord” with the British government, according to a draft paper prepared by the Foreign Ministry in Berlin.
Sorry, Remainers, I couldn't find anything sufficiently Doom-worthy to perk you up, I'm afraid...
