Just a note on Three.
I once had a mobile broadband contract with 3 and while the service was ok, when it came to cancelling I had and absolute nightmare.
It appeared there was no user journey for cancelling other than ringing up their overseas call centre & the guy I spoke with just kept offering me sweeteners to stay & wouldn't take no for an answer.
When it eventually sunk into his thick skull that I wasn't interested he finally told me he would terminate the contract & I would get an email .
Well, guess what, I never got an email & the following month's payment was deducted from my account. I then cancelled the DD & guess hwat? I get a letter from their credit control department. It went on like this with sevreal snail mail communications before the issue was finally resolved.
I also had this very same problem when I backed out of TalkTalk.
This is why I'm reluctant to change mobile service providers & stick with O2 even though there's no signal where I live. Their customer service is very good.

EE have been crap lately. My contract was coming to an end and I was off on hols to Florida. So I thought I'd go to Three because I could use in US.
But EE talked me out of it because they had a product that was the same. i.e. use in usa and it was part of your allowance (like in europe). They basically harped on about how much better their service in the usa was than three.
So I agreed with the proviso this was all in place by the time I went on hols in three days. No problem they said.
Guess what? Didnt work. Couldn't even phone customer services. Ironically, I had to use my wifes THREE mobile to call EE customer service from USA. Conversation went like this:-
ME: Been switched over and I should be able to use in USA?
CS: Yes you've been switched over but international roaming is not enabled for your account.
ME: What? Why not?
CS: Because its not done by default and sometimes we need to take a deposit in case you use a lot of international calls.
ME: But its unlimited calls in the USA. So its going to be free?
CS: But you never asked us to turn it on, all you did was ask to be moved to this contract.
Bit like buying a car from a garage, picking it up and finding it won't move, then the garage saying ah you didnt tell us you wanted one with an engine....

I have no issue with EE. I'm on a business tariff and their customer services have always been helpful.
I wonder if the issues experienced are what a colleague was complaining to me about earlier. He said he couldn't dial into any teleconferences today (well, after 10am as we were on the same call then). As I get the client's system to phone my home landline (why should I pay!), I didn't experience the issue. I so rarely use my mobile for calls that I doubt I'd notice if the network was down.
