The interesting thing is we know there are huge human rights atrocities in NK - yet we do nothing.
But compare that to all the other persecutions of peoples going on because of faith etc and the whole world is up in arms wringing their hands (if you can do such a thing).

Say what you like about Russia/Putin but this is surely the only sane/sensical option is it not?

And it's another 'Nyet' from Vlad
“We cannot allow the United States or any other nation to hold this sort of experiments with North Korea,” Senator Konstantin Kosachev said in comments with Izvestia daily.
He also noted that North Korean leadership will do anything to protect itself from external threats and because of that, work on the nuclear program would not stop while the United States and its allies allow the scenario of foreign intervention and forceful displacement on Pyongyang regime.“Ramping up military hysteria in such conditions is senseless; it’s a dead end,” Putin said. “It could lead to a global, planetary catastrophe and a huge loss of human life. There is no other way to resolve the North Korean nuclear issue, save that of peaceful dialogue.”

Every so often you need to start a war to justify spending more. Humans are just minor collateral damage in a big business game.

Trump seems to have military ED like Obama did when he wanted to but couldn't invade Syria.
What's next - some kind of colour revolution in NK (not likely) or ISIS rocking up and appearing out of nowhere?

Markets still at record highs and ignoring this whole NK thing now it seems. That says a lot.

I read an article saying that a poll conducted in Seoul concluded that residents were no more worried about an outbreak of war now than they were a decade ago, which was interesting.
I guess the issue for Kim is, if he fires first the whole world will be pointing their artillery at him, including China and Russia; I really don't think he wants that. The ideal for him it seems, is to goad Trump into causing the first casualty so he has at least some buy-in from his two next door super powers.

Mind you, I don't blame the cheese eater for working out that giving up nuclear weapons programmes is the best way to end up being sodomised to death with a bayonet.

Only way is for US to cut trade links with anyone who does trade with NK.
