As a third party contractor who is not an employee of the Bank they would not be liable for that type of negligence you have to have liability to cover that. I asked two of the managers at the place where I worked and both said they did not have to credit check contractors, a credit check was done as part of the recruitment process and you were only offered a permanent position if you passed.

Not to say that they are not doing that now, this was a few years ago so could have changed.

So they are credit checked...

We've had a thread about this recently and where not everyone is checked for one reason or another the comment that only permies are credit checked couldn't be further from the the truth. Anyone who is working with systems that can be abused or are regulated will need to go through some level of checking.

To allow people on to these systems without it is pure negligence if not illegal/against banking codes.

Not in the UK now but going back a few years I have had several contracts for Banks and not one has done a credit check on me, not that it would have bothered me but as far as I know it was only permies that were credit checked.

Because my credit score is very low, in noddle it shows 400 and there are few late payments and 2defaults recently.
There are no CCJ's in my account.

Will that impact my Job?

It depends on the IB.

However with no bankruptcy and no CCJ you should be fine.

I think it will although I’ve worked for four banks and working for one now I’ve never been credit checked so what do I know?
