There are a lot of dullards in IT, and most of them are contractors in my experience.
Permies do the exciting things, like remortgage the house to buy a Lambo, wihilst earning £30K a year.
Never understood this pose factor thing. I like understated Q cars (and Alfas ).
Driving is a fun experience not a posy one, IMO.

The discontinued Mazda 6 MPS was one of my favourites.
4WD, a fine chassis, and a turbo-charged engine meant a shit load of fun.
The old Subaru Forester (15 years ago) was another.
Both practical enough for family use too.
In current times the Octavia VRS is similar but I don't like the front wheel drive.
Have had the Merc for a few months and while I like its comfort and build quality, it's not very chuckable.

Quite a bit rarer than the E-class, nice and solidly built, decent 3.0 engine......£20k will get a very nice one (GFV on mine, going back to MB in Dec, is £23k from £55k list price)
