I could be wrong, but I suspect there won't be much room to manspread in that one.

Is it a contractor friendly price like my current Dacia Sandero?

    Having driven the P100D, here’s my rating;

    Pros

    Fast
    Silent

    Cons

    Very heavy and feels it
Very low inside, surprisingly, like sitting in a bath
    Cheap interior despite leather etc
Range affected a lot if you slaughter it

Very nice, but soulless and not worth the money, bland...

The problem is that by the time you have sorted out the options on an S its going to set you back as much as a decent Porsche 911...

I have heard all sorts of stories about being able to have one as a company car and use your corporation tax as the down payment + reclaiming the VAT on the lease but frankly a grand a month feels mighty high for a concept car that is still evolving. The model 3 might not be as swanky but 40k down is a much better way to test the waters of electric car ownership.

If the batteries are worth a lot then it's akin to driving around with valuable bricks for scotes to steal. Easy pickings, which won't help with the theft part of the insurance premium.

And if there's a propensity for the batteries to overheat then the fire cover part of the insurance premium will cause a double whammy.

    As said, get a diesel, or a V8, or a V8 diesel.

Have just taken a look at the comparison between the 3 & the S here:

    https://www.tesla.com/en_GB/model3

    Too many compromises.
    • Supercharging isn't free
    • Cargo space is half that of the S - 15 cu ft instead of 30 cu ft
    • 2 digital diplays replaced by 1 x 15" display
    • Takes twice as long to get to 60mph - 5.1s instead of 2.5s (depending on variant)

I think my next car will be a big inexpensive diesel...
The S is ok, but it's not a car. It's a battery on wheels. And it weighs 2 ton.
