Not without wage inflation will they see waistline inflation.

Unless they've not yet maxed out the credit cards at the supermarket.

Products with a specific price point will have to shrink to maintain the price point. Maybe the ONS can hazard a guess as to why. I would point them at the weakness of the £.

Shrinking size is not a brexit phenomenon!

I noticed that the number of sheets in a roll of kitchen towel is the same but with 25% shorter sheets!

I notice some shampoo brands are now changing from clear plastic to opaque.

Comparing two of these, the shampoo volume claims to be the same. But no doubt they plan to shave 10 mL off it.

It's also annoying that Worcester sauce bottles have reduced considerably in size, and pot noodles aren't what they were!

If it looks smaller then it has shrunk

Apparently 2,500 products have shrunk - linky

As many as 2,529 products have shrunk in size over the past five years, but are being sold for the same price, official figures show.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said it was not just chocolate bars that have been subject to so-called "shrinkflation".

It said toilet rolls, coffee and fruit juice were also being sold in smaller packet sizes.
