    AI may achieve great things. The question is, how long before computers develop feelings and emotions? Then they will soon be as irrational as the average human.

    Specialist AIs already do some things better than humans. In about 7 years General AIs (GAIs) are likely to achieve IQ parity with humans, and they will then continue to improve significantly faster than humans. These GAIs are currently hugely energy inefficient compared to humans, but you only need a few Einsteins to dramatically change the world, and their value is inestimable.

    Thoughts?
