    Anyone else get the feeling that Mailman has an alter ego on the fanatical muslim side of the fence, who's just as much of a feckwit ...

    He's probably blown himself up by now though. Shame.

    Yes, Sikhs at BA are allowed to wear their bangles, because they are clothing and not jewellery I guess?

    Strictly speaking she should have been allowed to wear her cross if she was wearing it mainly as a religious symbol and not as a metal adornment which is what superfluous jewellery is supposed to be - simply as a symbol of personal expression to do little else but enhance clothes and appearance. Otherwise, no one at BA could wear their wedding rings either. I bet they can though because they more than represent a metal adornment unlike costume jewellery and I bet they're not hidden under a bandaid either.

    What's the difference between a piece of cloth being visible and a piece of metal, if both have the same purpose?

    As usual I've floored all your arguments.

    I wonder if they have rules akin to having to remove baseball caps so that you can't hide you identity in airports?

    Surely this therefore applys to any headware?

    Or is this discrimination against chav's?

    Although, seriously...she lost her appeal, which was made to BA. Its not surprising really as thats a bit like asking the IR if IR35 is a good and fair tax rule

    The whole point of this is how easily people gloss over the fact that BA has deliberately discriminated against Christians YET wouldnt DARE ask muslims to take their potato sacks off their heads...because they would end up like this with their heads rolling on the ground! Opps, there goes another one!

    Because they arn't jewellery. Read it again and you might just get the idea.

    Cross on a necklace == Jewellery.
    Burqua == Clothing
    Burqua != Jewellery.

    Different rules apply. Simple. Like you.
