    if 10% of the population (100,000 students) and it costs £50-100k each that is £10,000,000,000 for 3 years. as 5 times that are now going its £50,000,000,000 over 3 years. Plus of course the A level costs. They will earn a degree premium but many avoided that by moving abroad.

    People who go straight into work or chose a vocational qualification will not see the premium but will subsidise Tarquin's degree in modern cartoon culture.

    Fees make sense, says a Dad with 3 children likely to take them and not see any grants.

    It's not free when you will be handing over 70% of your earnings in taxes....

    Yep, scrapping university fees gets my consideration - never been in favour of my kids coming out of university in debt and think education should be free to all. However the thought of voting in Corbyn, Abbott et Labour al just frightens me.
