Science can explain it, when you look at the atomic level and see death and destruction everywhere. Apparently most if not all cells in the human body are replaced every 7 to 10 years. More frequent than trigger's brush.

AKA - The Problem of Evil. Been discussed by theologians and philosophers for centuries. Various theories, including but not limited to "There is/are no God/s", "God is evil", "God doesn't care", "The God's are far too busy eating the offspring of the union of their own testicles and a shower of rain to worry about ISIS". There are also various theodicies which are attempts to explain how God can be good and evil can also exist - usually based around free will arguments.

So the ancients believed in different gods which created the world. Science says a Big Bang created the universe. But mathematics & quantum mechanics States everything is possible and matter exists from nothing & vice versa.

Well the material concept of matter is a little flawed in any case. Take the human form for example, it has an appearance from above the front the rear, which is it? Only with consciousness does the material concept of matter pop into being.
