Once we ship those 3 million Johnny Foreigners out of the country , house prices will drop and I'll step in to buy Buckingham Palace once it's vacated by the German family living there now.

Labour is being wiped out.

They have lost control of Glasgow City Council which they have held since 1980.

Scotland is surely SNP catching up post-GE but yes, Labour are being demolished. It seems quite remarkable but I don't follow local politics well enough to be sure?

Update on local elections is that UKIP have lost every seat they have had so far.

However, I don't expect that HMG policy will tack right at all. May has confused a lot of the electorate on the right, and they're about to find out that she's really Ed Millipede in drag (pursuing a policy agenda that's largely driven by Nick Timothy)

The Lib Dems also performed poorly, given the context and their relatively strong ground game. There's no indication that they're about to retake a lot of seats in the SW, notwithstanding a couple of upsets (e.g. Somerset). Subject to events, the GE heralds a massive Tory landslide with no real opposition from the Lib Dems or Labour, and probably diminished opposition from the SNP too.
