£60 per hour on this contract if divided by 8 hours. I actually work much longer some days though.

Alot of the rate stuff depends on negociating skills. I know people who are technically no better than me but they are really good at talking up there rate and basically have the balls to call the agents bluff. ie good business men . I have no problem with these people as they can do something I can't and that is what fundimentally sets the rates.
I know one guy who is on 850 a day general contractor. Is he worth that, of cause not but he made the client believe he was......

I'm in the top bit at the moment. Lucky me. I have been at the lower rate and permy but not for long.
