Both houses were Victorian horrible draughty things and the council gave my parents grants to do various things to stop them falling down.

As a kid we use to eat corn beef with pasta or rice. It was made up in a tomato sauce.
I never ate it in sandwiches because most of the time I ate jam or marmalade sandwiches. Then occasionally crisp sandwiches and also tomato ketchup sandwiches.
Oh and I'm not a socialist I'm liberal hence I prefer to drink beer.
