I use Insure your safety deposit box online for my box.
Can't say if they're any good as I've never had to make a claim but the premium etc. appeared reasonable.
My thoughts.....if you're thinking of installing a safe, then get a box or you'll just worry about your safe getting robbed.
Not sure about London but in Cardiff (Safe Deposit Box | Safety Deposit Lockers) a small sized box only cost £99/year (not including insurance) and as I keep a copy of my company certificaste in it I see it as a business expense

Make your kids play baseball this summer and join them once or twice.Originally posted by AtW View PostThe police will attend and give you crime reference to make claim on your insurance, baseball bats better though it lacks some plausible deniability...
Then take the bat away from them and hide it as they swing it at visitors.

We looked at this but it made no sense.Originally posted by ContractorBanking View PostThinking of renting a bank safe deposit box - looks like the main UK banks have pulled out of this market and only Metro Bank now offers this service.
Anyone know of any leading UK banks that still offer a safe deposit box?
The Metro Bank service is not insured but no idea if that's standard.
Only need to a small box to store jewellery. Any good or bad experiences, I'd like to hear.
thanks
Cheaper to install a safe in the house
