    They've turned one off low fee into Inheritance Tax #2, effective violation of manifesto for sure just like "Apprentice levy" which is payroll tax awfully similar to NICs

    They start high and then reduce thresholds unless stopped

    While the £20k figure is an extreme case, I agree. Especially from a party who is generally suppose to be anti-IHT. If you must increase death costs, have the balls to raise the taxes rather than hope nobody notices.

    As many here will be aware, the Government has greatly increased the fees for probate forms, from the former flat rate of around £150, and for some estates this one piece of paper will now cost £20,000.
