I joked about the UK and Russia divvying up Europe a few weeks ago. We would have to give the French a bit too though.
I'm sure I joked about it first.

Putin's game in breaking the EU and quest for world domination is very successful so far.
Idiots like Farage, Wilders and Le Pen get direct funding from Moscow to try to break up the EU, in return they speak of their admiration for Putler their fuehrer.
Brexit is one of the results and other far right and far left parties in Europe including terrorist supporterr Corbyn try to break up the EU even further
Putin bombs the tulip out of Syria resulting in a refugee stream towards EU which makes the EU even less popular as Putin knows Merkel is too weak to close the door, it's all part of his plan
All the brexiteers screaming jubilantly but they don't have a clue what is awaiting them, lower well fare, worse employment laws, higher taxes and war if the EU breaks up even further.
Meanwhile Putin just continues he already illegally annexed Crimea, and occupies parts of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia and is eying the Baltics, at the moment protected by NATO but Putin's puppet Trump is now shouting NATO is obsolete.
Obama and the EU don't do anything apart from some weak sanctions.

You well know that conservatism in Europe is rather different to here.

Only the Imperialistic Bourgeois British can be at fault. The EU is a beacon of light and integrity.

They need somewhere to surrender when invaded.

The good news is that there will be New Ekonomik Model in this country, none of this socialism mess - privatised NHS, paid secondary edukation, the taxes will still be socialist-high though.

If only you lived on the continent you might understand it a bit more.

UK conflicts have had a great hand in displacing many around the world, who naturally came to Europe looking for peace. And now it is your wish to see it raised in conflict. Tell me again whose evil?

I don't know why it now comes to mind, it just does... Perhaps because reason and common-sense now find themselves outnumbered. Just as Horatius did at the bridge of Tiber.

Then out spake brave Horatius, the Captain of the gate:

To every man upon this earth Death cometh soon or late.
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his Gods.

Does the UK seriously welcome conflict on the continent? I hope not. But then with Libya, Iraq, who knows... it seems history has taught us nothing.
    Others have said it better...

“A fascist is one whose lust for money or power is combined with such an intensity of intolerance toward those of other races, parties, classes, religions, cultures, regions or nations as to make him ruthless in his use of deceit or violence to attain his ends.”
The very concept of objective truth is fading out of the world. Lies will pass into history.
A family with the wrong members in control; that, perhaps, is as near as one can come to describing England in a phrase.
In a fascist system, it's not the lies that count but the muddying. When citizens can't tell real news from fake, they give up their demands for accountability bit by bit.
