I worked with permie project manager who worked in Burger King - she said I don't want to know what they do there, and this put me off it for a long time, stopped eating junk food altogether now. Maybe she did it on purpose - she did hate me pretty strongly.

I worked with permie manager at Microsoft who used to be a MacDonalds 5 star worker. He loved the job.

The sad part is that before I went contracting I was earning less than a McD's restaurant manager

Decided to get a part time job
Sent emails on Sunday, got responses this morning - very much reminds me .COM time in late 1999: did the same thing and then had a job in a day to start right after the new year (assuming world won't crash and burn due to Y2k, but those rip off contractors did their job well, or there was not a bug in the first place).
Anyway, got a nice part time job, which is changing tapes late in the night - I hear they fired a monkey they used because it demanded a 10 euro cents payrise due to "family" expansion.
