But she isn't "difficult" like Thatcher.Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostPeople always complain about politicians starting out straight from uni, and never having had a "real" job.
But Andrea Leadson is the opposite, and has had several high-powered and successful leadership roles in industry.
After Michael Gove, she'd be the next best thing. But sadly too many naive voters will probably vote for Theresa May - It's so easy to fool Joe Public
I've always hated Gove he has a something of the Tony Blair about him.

Usually when a relative unknown gets the job (like Cameron) they get to spend a few years as leader of the opposition.

It is just fanatically pro-EU civil service bods trying to discredit her (quite probably at Cameron & co's urging).
So much for civil service impartiality.

It was, although he said very little.Originally posted by VectraMan View PostHe did seem to be talking in the same way he would in an interview. But then maybe that's just Ken Clarke.
Was it Malcolm Rifkind he was talking to?
Seemed to be Clarke taking an opportunity to share his views with everyone.

It was hysterical. And it doesn't help that he sounds an awful lot like Stephen Fry. Clarke almost certainly knew he was being taped.
