    Perhaps the title of the thread should be "How can we discourage local newspaper journalists from farting about overblowing stuff none of the people involved cared about in the first place, instead of finding some real news"

    A hairdresser whose tip-off led to a Ripper-obsessed double murderer being caught will not get a £20,000 reward because she called police.

    Crimestoppers said rewards were only given to people who ring its number rather than the police.
