In the interview, Mark makes the point that the statement is very true, even if the accompanying hashtags were clumsily phrased. In terms of the history of the human race, British minimum wage earners are probably within the top 1% of earners out of everyone that has ever lived.

Paradoxically, it seems like the World's economic woes are largely being caused by over-supply and a glut of goods.
