i met someone who was into swallowing at the canal side before

But how many swifts does it take?

Coz there's at least a dozen flying up & down the line of the canal.

I assume there's plenty of flying insects about to make them do that, despite it being pretty chilly.

Sure they're not sand martens? They're normally the first to arrive round here & can be seen skimming the surface of local ponds & rivers.
