Depends who you are working for, but the likes of Deloitte, PWC & Sofrecom etc, who are quite active in that part of the world shouldn't have a problem conjuring up a package like that. If your are stumping up for these yourself knock £7K at least off you rate to get a quality of life similar to what you experience in MUC. Expat life of a good quality is expensive in JPN.
My experience is, without children these contracts can be wonderful. With young children you have to plan very carefully so that your partner doesn't get bored out of her mind with no social life and resents you for it. After the honeymoon period the novelty of pointing at everything because you do not speak Japanese wears off.
*Edit, working hours are JPN are insane. Leaving the office before your boss is culturally unacceptable so you will mostly be heading home at 22:00.

To give you an example. On a frequent route I use, our corporate J fare is €2134 - Full flex F €16,000 odd.
*BTW you would have to be mad to pay for BA's F product. They have a captive market & most of us who fly it call it J+.

This is a hellish way to live. Corporate travel policies have become ridiculous. Poor guy.
