I hate banks. They need root and branch reform. But in this case you are unfair. All big businesses do the same. Branding needs to be removed as a tax deductible expense.

It should not be possible to carry over loss from previous years - if you lost money then it's your problem, you run business badly.

Have a radical left winger stand at the general election, taking up lots of votes from people looking for something different from the usual LibLabCon trick. Promise the Earth to everyone.

Then, as soon as he wins the GE, he stands down and hands over power to a bog std LibLabCon leader, following the usual LibLabCon policies we've all seen for at least 30 years. Just like Phoney handed power to Brown, without Brown being voted in.

WTF is wrong with this govt ? Time and time again we hear sound bites about cut in public sector and austerity and cut in welfare etc etc etc.

Still, the borrowing is climbing. Why are we borrowing more if every department is trimmed by 30% ? Where is all this extra cash going?

I just wish we could get Corbyn in power somehow, he would sort this mess out without any of the austerity crap.

Labour would do no different. They had 13 years in power and inequality increased.

Turning it around, there clearly is no austerity, there really aren't any cuts. The cuts are measured against supposed inflation, the deficit is measured in real cash. The reality is the UK government is spending too much.

What could Corbyn actually do differently?

He could reduce the difference between rich and poor to make people feel better. He could provide social mobility to give the poor a chance to work their way up. He could bring down house prices.

However he would not bother. If he got into power he would just act like the current government.

Because they did an amazing job in keeping the losses to eye-watering levels instead of the gargantuan levels they would have been if they had hired someone else / not paid the bonuses.

Well, you see they apparently make a loss in the UK but more profit in other countries where the tax laws are different which, to me, begs the questions, if they make a loss in the UK, why do they still do business in the UK then? If other countries allow them to make a profit due to lax tax laws, which apparently the UK doesn't have, why don't they just move their business there? Something just doesn't really add up there does it?
