Back in 2000 when I was skint, depressed, jobless/contractless in the middle of a divorce, left with five kids, and even worse, living in Scotland I needed a cheap car, ie £100 level.

Guy offered me his H-reg Alfa 164 3.0ltr Lusso for £100, and I took it. Had to go to Exeter for it but what a drive back, had it 5 years, no bother at all, until it gave up totally, despite 28mpg served me well.

Loved that car.....
