Is that like one of those "win a car contests" where the winner is the last one with their hand on the car?

Leaving on monday morning and coming back on friday evening will cost me £160 , for a 100 mile journey to London and back.
f**king train mafia, they have license to print money.
Only the rich people or the public servants can spend that much money.
As a poor contractor i just take the coach for £20 return.

It's what I'm doing, I get 2/3 off the train fare that way

On the route and times I take to London, it's often cheaper to travel first class than standard.

Last one was about £40 first class and £70 in standard.

I have now booked up until the end of January 2016 and the my recent purchases were around the £105 mark and the ones in Jan were £43, that is a huge difference.

The strange thing is that I tried booking a ticket at the end of Jan returning beginning of Feb and it was £110, up from the previous weeks £43.

    What a rip off.
IIRC you can only book 12 weeks ahead - after that the prices go back up again.
