There were plenty of English on Kalymnos, but in family groups, not same-sex groups. I think it's the latter that have got the bad reputation.

Well Jabber was banned. I know it is difficult to believe - apparently there is some sort of petition doing the rounds to get him reinstated.

Where did you go in Greece? Was it a hedonistic honeymoon or a culture attack?

The Emma Hamilton (named after Nelson's mistress) is a particularly rough pub in Wimbledon Chase. Full of people with that Sarf Lahndan "are you looking at me?" glint in their eyes.
Well I satisfied the cultural attacks in Athens and for the rest the islands can offer a lot. Particularly the ones close to Turkey, less crowded and unknown to the northeners. The polvo? Octopus? Mmmmm ....

I just moved to "that London" from Spain. Drove Rocinante hard to Bilbao to catch the ferry and I've just spent over 48 hours here, I'm still in shock! (Not the journey, just S. London)

Love sardinhas. That's not very common for a respectable north european like yourself though. So at the end we do have something in common?

    I don't know this Emma Hamilton... :-(

I might cheer myself by taking a trip to Merton Abbey Mills to buy some over-priced tat and have a KFC in the exclusive on-site food concession.

Yes, SW19 looks very grim when you switch from those mediterranean paradise lands where the water is slightly cleaner than the one of the river Wandle.
