    I don't report people I convince them to go home or go somewhere else in the world.

    The ones I meet abroad I convince them stay or go somewhere else. It's not hard once you give them housing costs in London as they already know how much they could earn. Also gang master and modern slavery stories really help.....

    The ones doing care work were actually foreign nurses. If they hadn't talked to dodgy people they could have worked in the care homes legally and converted their qualifications so would have worked in the NHS. And yes they spoke and wrote English.

    Nope. And of course you have to take into account that the reporting may be biased i.e. WHY were they doing that, what happened first?

    If Cameron and Co made the benefits system a lot less attractive to these unskilled migrants it would solve that part of the problem almost overnight.

    Then DC needs to kill two birds with one stone;

    Set up a "Shop an illegal worker" scheme, £200 for information for each worker working illegally that gets deported. This will highlight the vast majority of them. Force the lazy benefits scrounging natives to backfill these jobs. if they refuse the job, stop their benefits. If they fail the interview, stop their benefits. If they don't turn up for work, stop their benefits. if they are rubbish workers, inform them that if they get sacked, there are no more benefits available to them.

    Also have an amnesty on employers employing illegal workers, declare them before [date] and there's no fine. Don't declare (or don't sack) them before [date] and it's a £10,000 fine for each illegal worker.

    Problem solved?

    It's not just the benefits system, it's the illegal economy that many of them end up in. We don't really do anything to stop it.

    Now I'm no expert, but that doesn't strike me as the best method to endear yourself to your target host nation. It'd be the equivalent of trying to get a job interview by desperately trying to gain entry to SomeCorp's HQ, by smashing windows and doors in and physically attacking the secirity guards on the front desk.

    If Cameron and Co made the benefits system a lot less attractive to these unskilled migrants it would solve that part of the problem almost overnight.

    Rough estimates based on personal experience.

    NB: 70% of statistics are made up due to boredom so I have something to post on here.....
