Nothing is 'now better' until legislation (one way or the other) is completed.

Any actions based on speculation is just jumping the gun.

With the proposed changes to claiming expenses, has the situation on company cars changed?

I know the advice was always buy privately and claim the mileage was better financially.

It we cannot claim mileage then is it now better to buy/lease via the company?
