    Commiserations. Similar thing happened to me once. Took it personally, but shouldn't have as much as I did.

    It's a shame, but planned longish holidays do give clients a convenient opportunity to review resources in advance and sometimes this is the way it ends up.

    Long holiday

    Going away for 5 days tomorrow, informed everyone months ago (and reminded them), timed it really well with the project release (milestone released just under a month ago) so had time to fix bugs and all working smoothly at the moment.
    As a result of that, just got told today they are not extending and I am looking at a rather long holiday. Oh well, at least I'll enjoy the summer. And possibly autumn. And winter, winter is coming
