They have given the bobs their marching orders, so hopefully this silliness will stop.

Yes, sadly that one seems to have crept into everyday business speak. Have seen at least 3 managers at clientCo use it.

My favourite offshore moment came from an OCS, really early one morning.

I'd just logged on and a chat pops up.

Offshore Guy: Morning Mr TM. I've been awaiting your come to work.

Me: What can I do for you ?

Offshore Guy: Can I ask you a question ?

Me: Fire away.

Some time work a simile into some email to them, and include the phrase "so to speak".

I bet you'll find that in no time half of them are using it in every other sentence.

(Another good trigger phrase is "until and unless" instead of "if".)
