Perhaps Ed was just avoiding the trap of looking as though he supports the ployof forcing unemployed people with no real skills into totally false self employment, living off tax credits to avoid the now punishing signing on regime, unaware of the consequences until the self assessment demand comes through the letter box.

I think this is a real problem. But it shouldn't be an excuse not to encourage those who do want to work for themselves. It is possible to crack down on this and promote working for yourself as a positive thing.

It's a pity that either of them gormless little turds stands any chance of being elected as PM. I guess we can only hope for a vote of no confidence, if the Tories don't start gaining some steam and quickly.
