In the past wars, civilains made major sacrifices so that money could be spent on funding the war effort. Rationing for example.

I propose we suspend the whole benefits system here until Iraq and Afghanistan is secured.

As the Wars continue further tax hikes are necessary along with the closrue of such frivoulous non essential public spending such as hospitals, schools etc.

You are missing the point, these scams aren't about getting out of paying tax from legitimate businesses. These are bogus businesses defrauding the tax system by getting refunds for tax never paid. Ultimately we subsidise this fraud.
