Can't find link again but wasn't a previous whistle blower on sale of peerages (1920s ?) found murdered? I sense another Dr Kelly moment coming. Probably Alex Hammond will be found face down in a Glasgow canal.

Yes, but WHAT law does that come under? Or should I be looking for the "Offering or negotiating for (allegedly) Honours (e.g. Knighthood, peerage etc) in exchange for political donations to the NewLie party law 2006"?

The Political Honours Scrutiny Committee was established in 1923, following scandals about honours being ‘bought’ during the premiership of Lloyd George. A royal commission was established in 1922 to examine the procedures regarding the award of honours, and its report eventually led to the enactment of the Honours (Prevention of Abuses) Act 1925.
There has been only prosecution under this act, that of Maundy Gregory in 1933.19 The Committee’s membership was limited to three members of the Privy Council, who must not be members of the Government. Until its functions were taken over by the House of Lords Appointments Commission in 2005, the membership was Baroness Dean, Lord Hurd and Lord Thomson of Monifieth.

I don't get this thing about arresting minor players.
All nominations for peerages go to Downing Street for approval by the Prime Minister and the PM may also make nominations himself. These are not smallish donations but very major sums that affect whether the party will sink or swim. The PM is also the leader of the Labour Party. Are we seriously to believe he or his closest advisors are kept in the dark about party funding?
Hard to see how any selling of peerages by the Labour party can not involve those at the very top.
Isnt this all just one big stage show ? I mean, anyone gets arrested then T Blair calls up the met office chief, has a friendly word with his mate, then the 'Interviews Conclude' with no further charges. Isnt this just one big charade staged by labour spin docs ?

When I look at the exclusively politically ambitious head of the Met as well as the depth & scale of deceit with this Gov't, and its unprecedented scale of politicisation within virtually every facet of public services.
