This peremptory sacking doesn't sound constitutional, and sets a bad precedent.
I thought a judge could be sacked only after being "named" in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, which involves votes.
Before you know it, judges will be sacked or demoted for merely expressing skepticism or criticism of trendy political dogmas, and the so-called independence of the judiciary will become simply empty words.
