And let's not talk about Margaret Hodge's family corporation affairs. I'm just wondering why no one in the mainstream press, or those executives she grills in committee, has picked up on how her family operates.

Is that because he has skeletons in his closet with regard to his tax affairs?

Fink should have been briefed.
New Lie tried to blur the lines and create 'tax evoidance'. I'm all for prosecuting tax evasion and stripping away the artificial structures some companies use to avoid tax against the spirit of the law.
If you have an ISA or a pension you are a tax avoider, if you take 'cash back' or discounts you are tax avoider.
Labour only tell other people how to behave they don't follow the rules themselves. George Orwell was spot on about that.
Ed's family seem to be champagne socialists who have done very well for themselves.

Red Ed the tax avoider: Property merry-go-rounds and how the Milibands changed a will, cutting their inheritance tax liability | Daily Mail Online
The Tory "Fink" guy has had to defend himself by saying everyone tries to avoid tax. This may be true but to your average voter driven by headline cliches the only thing that matters is "Rich Tory - not paying tax". Milliband has played this to his own benefit. Unfortunately no matter the legality of his own financial arrangements he will be hit in exactly the same way.Tags: None
